Privacy & Your Data
Everything stays on your device
Smastar's data design is simple: alarms, habits, to-dos, imported audio, health displays — all of it lives on your device, and none of it is sent to any external server.
- Our App Store privacy label reads "Data Not Collected"
- No ad SDKs, no analytics SDKs, no tracking SDKs. Zero third-party SDKs — only Apple's own frameworks
- Weather comes from Apple's WeatherKit; speech is synthesized on-device by iOS voices
About imported audio
Files you import for alarm sounds or Sleep / Focus Music are copied into the app's private storage. They're never uploaded anywhere. Deleting the app deletes them too.
Backup
The current version does not use cloud sync. Your data lives only on your device.
When you move to a new iPhone, restore from a standard iOS backup — iCloud Backup, or a backup made through your Mac or PC. Your Smastar data is included there.
Deleting the app deletes all of its data, including any audio you imported. Please check your backup before removing it.
FAQ
Do I need an account?
No account is needed for the app itself. Subscriptions are purchased through your Apple ID; Smastar never touches payment details.
How can I verify nothing is sent?
The App Store privacy label (Data Not Collected) is reviewed by Apple, and anyone can inspect the app's network traffic with standard analysis tools.
